ADOPT A HYDRANT

If you have a fire hydrant in front of your home or on your property, please shovel it out after a snowfall so that it is visible from the street.  Valuable firefighting time can be lost trying to locate a hydrant.

SMOKE DETECTORS

Make sure that your smoke detectors are in working order.  A good rules is to change the batteries in the spring and in the fall when daylight savings time changes.

CARBON MONOXIDE DETECTORS

If you do not have a carbon monoxide detector, you should consider purchasing one.  Residential smoke detectors have drastically reduced fire dollar loss throughout the area.
